Lost and found eyeglasses

About a week ago I realized that I didn't know where my glasses were, and they were the best pair that I ever had.

I misplace stuff all the time, and so far, everything misplaced has shown up, so I've learned to look, even search, but not to perseverate on the missing item. But my glasses were beginning to test me. I went through the trash and recycling dumpsters to no avail. I looked in the places where I usually take off my glasses, which I do frequently, since I need them really only to read. They're frameless, almost invisible, and virtually weightless, so that in some situations I have to put my finger on my head to feel for the bow on my ear to verify their presence.

I was beginning to get resigned to ponying up the money to replace them. I prayed and moved on, feeling a little guilty about my glasses-fretting during the continuing aftermath of the Haitian earthquake tragedy. Well, as the title states, the glasses showed up -- in a little-used pocket of a lesser-used winter coat So once again it was best for me just to be patient.
